That furniture is EXACTLY like what we had in the foreigner's apartment in Chongqing! Maybe there is a company that makes special "furniture to suit Western tastes" ?
ReplyDeleteWill you get cushions, though?
Jean
you know, I really think it's pretty comfy, though i wouldn't minda mattress for my bed. My assistant told me chinese people find soft furniture very uncomfortable
ReplyDeleteThat looks super spacious compared to what I stayed in while in Japan. Of course, what I stayed in could be compared to a walk in closet in all honesty.
ReplyDeleteI'm really surprised by the size--it's bigger than HT and I's place. China is very good at building up, so the sky's the limit
ReplyDeleteHmm... very interesting... box springs and wooden couch... too bad you lost so much cushion in your trunk from being a temple. Maybe you can add some back with the MSG. BTW, I've committed to templing for 21 days. I'm on day 10 of my templing and with Natalie screaming in my ear riding my back yelling, "gidde up horsey," and Meredith rolling all over the floor keeping me constantly on the move picking up all of the small toys daughter number one leaves laying around, and church people being unchurch like, I am eyeing the bag of oreos in Reese's office and the bottle of vodka in the cabinet wondering what an oreo martini would taste like. :) good times...
ReplyDeleteHollie, I literally lol-ed. I'm telling you, China is a land of temples. I walk a minimum of an hour a day and sweat like crazy and while the food is, as we say in China, hao-shi (good tasting), the portions are much more reasonable than in America.
ReplyDeleteI do hink an oreo martini could be delish though!
